LINT and GENERIC are the best references.  There are kernel options that
(for example) I have created and are not documented.  However, those are
mostly for debugging or performance comparisons.  Such options can readily
disappear without notice.  If you find options that really help your perf
or stability, let the developers know, and I am sure that such input can
be very valuable.
