I had done a fresh make buildworld,installworld, rebooted, then did a rm -rf /usr/ports. Edited /etc/fstab and system did infinite writes to the gmirror nvme/ssd. It was so hung that my /etc/fstab couldn't save and the only way to recover was to power cycle the machine. T= he gmirror had su+j+trim.
