1. /dev/sysmouse exists. 2. Moused starts. 3. I used to start it automatically at boot with slim, but I run startx as a user. 4. No, it actually runs, but there's only a black screen, without evn mouse. 5. Xorg -retro works, I can use mouse. 6. I use Openbox. 7. The result of running xinit /usr/local/bin/xterm is the same as before - blank, black screen without mouse.
