CUPS won't help - it doesn't include printer drivers, just
description files.

Ok, I take that back - the *commercial* version might include
drivers. If you manage to get a printer that isn't supported on DOS or
Windows NT 4.0 to work with CUPS, please let me know ASAP so I can fix
the FAQ entry that was just committed on this subject.
