Our local documentation suggests that uid's can't exceed 1024 because >of amd. Is this still the case? >(the machines we are using are running FreeBSD-2.0.5 - soon to be upgraded). I'm running (mostly) FreeBSD-2.2.6, and making moderately extensive use of amd. My uid is 1069, and I'm not noticing any problems. I had never seen anything to indicate any sort of amd-inspired limit on the size of a uid. david -- David Wolfskill UNIX System Administrator dhw@whistle.com voice: (650) 577-7158 pager: (650) 371-4621 To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
