I must be missing something.

1) The sources for 4.9 are available via SourceForge
2) The patch provided in attachment 172786 is against the qjail script
3) The ports framework provides a mechanism to patch files from the source
distribution that's fetched from MASTER_SITES (ie, files in
portdir/files/patch_* files)

Given all of the above, unless there's something I'm missing, then yes the =
port
can be updated to patch the qjail script that is contained within the sourc=
es
that are fetched from SourceForge after they are extracted into WRKSRC.

If the sources for 4.9 were changed upstream, the port would still require =
an
update to update the distinfo checksum, as the contents of the upstream tar=
ball
will have changed.
