Quantum is the vendor who originated the DLT format, and I would recommend picking up a Quantum DLT 8000 model if it doesn't cost much more than the one you mention above. I've never heard of Freecom, although they may be fine, there is something to be said for buying from a vendor you know. DLT is a very good tape format, though... -- -Chuck
