I have as similar setup on my Toshiba 8100 notebook (XP Pro on ad0, FreeBSD 5.4-STABLE and an NTFS partition on ad1); if you install XP first and then FreeBSD second the FreeBSD boot manager works as well as anything I've used to manage the process. The installation is also automatic, as long as you install the FreeBSD boot manager on both disks during the installation process. Mike Squires
