I have yet to find an internal modem that wouldn't work with FreeBSD, I have 2400b thru 28.8 USR's as well as a whole pile of different Hayes compatiable modems and every one of them works flawlessly! From 1200b to 28.8 and they all work! Even the junk branded ones. (Zoom, Zoltrix, PPI, LightComm, Viva) IMPO for personal use, Internals are the best way to go! Now if you need mutiple modems, Of course External is your only choice! Sounds to me like there is a Address/IRQ conflict with something else! -Enjoy Gary ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Improve America's Knowledge... Share yours The Borg...
