Hello all. I've got a small question that's not entirely related to fbsd, but at the same time it is in some ways. What I'm looking for is a hardware device that will convert data from the video card into something usable by a video device. Several actually. I'm going to be having to do a boot camp for people who are new to the linux/unix world come in 2 weeks or so as part of our gradual switch over from Windows 9x/2k on the desktop to all unix workstations. Primarily because MS is killing us on licence fees. But that's another story. Basically put, I'm looking for a device that will hook into a standard video card and convert the video out so it's useable by any number of normal video devices, aka wide screen projectors, VCR's, HDTV, regular TV, etc. But at the same time small and portable. I only need it to convert the video into 2 formats. Either RCA or Svideo (the same kind used on camcorders). I'm only going to be having a laptop with me that doesn't have normal Svideo or RCA capabilities for video on each of these presentations and I need to be able to plug into whatever projector system they have there and be able to do live demos of Freebsd with Gnome, KDE, as well as the console and more. I've already had to do two of these kind of presentations so far and it's an absolute pain having to lug around a large desktop just to do what I need it to. Your help would be very welcome in this.
