ack, I miss remebered, I knew I needed to check this before I sent the
email:
!!grep define.*N[DI]ADDR /usr/include/ufs/ufs/dinode.h
#define	NDADDR	12			/* Direct addresses in inode. */
#define	NIADDR	3			/* Indirect addresses in inode. */

The 9 above should be 12...
