I've been using SecureCRT from Van Dyke Tech (http://www.vandyke.com/).
The terminal emulator is based upon their popular CRT product.  I've
been very happy with it so far.  The port forwarding support has allowed
me deny non-localhost access to my server's Popper and SMTP relay.
