The following reply was made to PR ports/67951; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Internet Partners Inc. Support" <support@ipinc.net> To: <freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org> Cc: Subject: Re: ports/67951: x11/XFree86-aoutlibs doesen't install properly Date: Fri, 18 Jun 2004 21:55:10 -0700 Today I nuked and repaved the system. This time it didn't give me an error. The difference was that previously, I had compiled and installed the a-out libs from within an xterm, while the x server was running. This time I compiled and installed when X wasn't running. Probably should have a warning in the Makefile that states "AOUT LIBS SHOULD NOT BE INSTALLED WHILE X IS RUNNING" or some such. Ted
