Can anyone else confirm or refute the existence of the bug I reported in bin/12448? I can't publish ARP entries for Proxy ARP, and this has killed my FreeBSD 3.2-STABLE firewall box (cvsupped again on Tuesday, June 29). If anyone with a recently make worlded 3.2-STABLE box has a free second, please try to do the following: arp -s ip_address auto pub where ip_address is a free (currently unused) IP address on a subnet to which you have an Ethernet interface attached. What this *should* do is "publish" the IP address for Proxy ARP. What it does for me is print the error message: using interface ed1 for proxy with address 0:e0:29:32:21:ee arp: writing to routing socket: File exists It worked with 3.2-RELEASE code, and I'm probably going to downgrade the box today as a result, but it would be helpful if anyone has a clue what might have changed to cause the error, or even just to know if it's a problem with my box or with the 3.2-STABLE code.
