I also saw it after successfully installing 4.6.2-RELEASE, while upgrading to the most recent 4.8-STABLE (after make installkernel, during the reboot into single-user): Waiting 15 seconds for SCSI devices to settle isp0: command timed out for 0:15:0 isp0: command timed out for 0:14:0 isp0: command timed out for 0:13:0 isp0: command timed out for 0:12:0 (probe7:isp0:0:8:0): isp0: watchdog timeout for handle 0x8 (probe7:isp0:0:9:0): isp0: watchdog timeout for handle 0x9 (probe7:isp0:0:10:0): isp0: watchdog timeout for handle 0xa (probe7:isp0:0:11:0): isp0: watchdog timeout for handle 0xb isp0: cannot find handle 0xb (status 0x6) isp0: cannot find handle 0xa (status 0x6) isp0: cannot find handle 0x9 (status 0x6) isp0: cannot find handle 0x8 (status 0x6) The same portion of a normal dmesg (from a 4.6.2-RELEASE kernel) looks like: Waiting 15 seconds for SCSI devices to settle Mounting root from ufs:/dev/da0a da0 at isp0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0 da0: Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device da0: 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit), Tagged Queueing Enabled da0: 4091MB (8380080 512 byte sectors: 255H 63S/T 521C) da1 at isp0 bus 0 target 1 lun 0 da1: Fixed Direct Access SCSI-2 device da1: 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 8, 16bit), Tagged Queueing Enabled da1: 4091MB (8380080 512 byte sectors: 255H 63S/T 521C) With this problem, none of the SCSI disks are detected correctly. Does anyone know of changes related to the isp driver between 4.6.2-RELEASE and 4.7-RELEASE that may have caused this problem?
