I've got an X800SE and it works without problems; don't think there's so much of a difference concerning the Xorg driver with the two cards.. ... Errm! Upon looking at your original mail again.. you're running Xorg 6.7? I don't think it'll work with that version. I had to apply patches back then to get 6.7 to work with my card. Try upgrading to the current version that is in ports (6.8.2 iirc). mkb.
