(Thanks team freeBSD!) So I'm checking the net connections, we have a T1 here, and its fine, so far. And I try something I haven't done in ten years or so, telnet to nic.arpa to do a whois. "Unknown host" Hmm... I try a couple of other "known" backbone hosts from the old days. Few of them worked. Are all the old vestages of arpanet gone? Are the old net backbones and hosts passe?
