Unfortunately this is not a function of the "3.300MB/s transfers".
Mine says:

  cd0: <TOSHIBA CD-ROM XM-3301TA 1651> Removable CD-ROM SCSI-2 device
  cd0: 3.300MB/s transfers

and does 1x data and 1x audio. But it's SCSI and it was *really*
cheap (used).
