hi,

i just noticed that the freebsd 4.5 alpha release tree is up. is there
any word on whether the packages build for this is finished ? it's
an interesting (and i guess i like it this way) inconsistency between
the alpha and x86 package builds.

on x86, there is a freeze/snapshot which chews a lot more disk by
having a separate packages-4-stable and packages-4.5-release.

on alpha, packages-4.5-release is a link to packages-4-stable, as
was the 4.4 packages before then. before that, there was/is a
real 4.3 packages release tree. is this still needed on ftp-master?

regards,

-jason
