>I am looking for any information about VPN under FreeBSD. >Unfortunately I have to setup VPN between FreeBSD box and Win2000. Unfortunately? I don't see a problem with that. Anyway... Please check out the following Daemon News article for doing exactly what you require... http://www.daemonnews.org/200101/ipsec-howto.html The document goes by the name of FreeBSD IPsec mini-HOWTO. It covers the steps involved in getting a VPN working between two FreeBSD boxes or between one FreeBSD and one Win2K. It works to explain how to setup a network to network connection and a workstation to network connection. Personally I find the document a bit hard to follow but if you make enough sketches of what they're talking about and re-read it often enough I think the point comes through. I'm not bitching though, I think this kind of technology will sometimes be a bit hard to grok. BTW - You can also get the latest version of the same document at... http://asherah.dyndns.org/~josh/ipsec-howto.txt http://www.x-itec.de/projects/tuts/ipsec-howto.txt >Anyway the question is: What software do I have to use in the my case? IPSec does it. It comes standard with Win2K and FreeBSD. >Has anyone installed the VPN as I'm going to install? I've been meaning to but I haven't yet. I'd appreciate you letting me know how you go with the setup.
