There are two patches (grep for #ifdef __powerpc64__) that remedy this bug on i386 as well, so a quick fix would be just to amend that check to include both architectures. What's more interesting, however, is that these files are part of ksh93 and are identical to the ones we have with `shells/ksh93' port which builds just fine on i386 and requires no patches. It would be nice to understand exactly what's going on here. ./danfe
