Sender: owner-questions@freebsd.org X-Loop: FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk i am having trouble getting the card to work properly. right now i have the following statements in /etc/sysconfig: infconfig_de0="inet 144.118.245.10 link2 netmask 255.255.252.0" deflaultrouter="144.118.244.254" the machine is on the ip network 144.118.244/22 (ie subnet 255.255.252.0) upon booting the folling messages related to de0 appear on the console: "enabling BNC/AUI" - even though i have stated link2 and then "de0: transmission timeout" The system is a 200 MHz P6 with the SMC EtherPower 10/100 (SMC9332BDT) which has the DEC 21140 controller. I am running the 2.2 beta of FreeBSD. Thanks for any help.
