--- Comment #17 from Mikhail T. <mi@ALDAN.algebra.com> ---
I tried this after rebuilding lang/python36 and devel/gdb with the following
options:

_OPTIONS_READ=3Dpython36-3.6.1_1
_FILE_COMPLETE_OPTIONS_LIST=3DDEBUG IPV6 LIBFFI NLS PYMALLOC THREADS FNV SI=
PHASH
OPTIONS_FILE_UNSET+=3DDEBUG
OPTIONS_FILE_UNSET+=3DIPV6
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DLIBFFI
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DNLS
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DPYMALLOC
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DTHREADS
OPTIONS_FILE_UNSET+=3DFNV
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DSIPHASH

and:

_OPTIONS_READ=3Dgdb-7.12.1_1
_FILE_COMPLETE_OPTIONS_LIST=3DDEBUG GDB_LINK GUILE KGDB PYTHON TUI
BUNDLED_READLINE PORT_READLINE
OPTIONS_FILE_UNSET+=3DDEBUG
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DGDB_LINK
OPTIONS_FILE_UNSET+=3DGUILE
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DKGDB
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DPYTHON
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DTUI
OPTIONS_FILE_UNSET+=3DBUNDLED_READLINE
OPTIONS_FILE_SET+=3DPORT_READLINE

Attempting `py-bt' gave me the following error:

(gdb) py-bt
Python Exception <type 'exceptions.ValueError'> Variable 'func_obj' not fou=
nd.:=20
Error occurred in Python command: Variable 'func_obj' not found.

I then found this Python-ticket: https://bugs.python.org/issue30345 and tri=
ed
the patch referenced there
(https://github.com/python/cpython/commit/d05f7fdf6cf77724bd3064fb5a0846ef5=
cfe0c88).
Unfortunately, that didn't help:

(gdb) py-frame
Undefined command: "py-frame".  Try "help".
(gdb) py-bt
Python Exception <type 'exceptions.ValueError'> Variable 'func_obj' not fou=
nd.:=20
Error occurred in Python command: Variable 'func_obj' not found.

Looks like something is still missing -- at least, in the case of 3.6.
