I'm not sure where to post this my question...
I have the PC with two network interfaces under FreeBSD 2.2.5-RELEASE acting as a gateway between my local network and the Internet. I need to switch on the accounting for my local machines by the following way: if the TCP data transmission has the destination in my network I should get the information about this transmission - when, where-from, where-to, how-much. Then I will send this data to the SQL server which will collect the accounting information in such a way: DATE, WHERE-FROM (Internet address), WHERE-TO (local IP address), HOW-MUCH (KBytes). It is important for me to collect the information about "where-from" because different regions have different costs for my Internet connection.
Could U please advise anything about my problem?
Sincerely yours,
Vladimir.
