Now *this* is interesting...

I just read that another reason MS might have an interest in BSD for this
reason:

BSD is an outstanding server OS.

The other side of the coin:

Windows is the most popular desktop OS.

BSD doesn't threaten the Windows desktop monopoly, and by pretending to be
OS friendly, at least to one license, they could advance the .Net effort
without detracting from *their* desktop market.
