Hi !

I jst enabled the log_in_vain option to see a little bit of what was trying to
access my box, and I can see that my box tries to reach its own port 512
(comsat), obviously using biff to warn users about new messages.
--> /kernel: Connection attempt to UDP 127.0.0.1:512 from 127.0.0.1:1529

Now, comsat is disabled in inetd, that's why it's been log. Do you know which
process try to access my port 512 ? Is it sendmail ? Or the kernel itself ?
Is there a way to deactivate this ?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Regards.

Antoine
