They are up on HP's website but they are kind of difficult to find. The chapter has an example that sends a command to an HP that switches on and off CR/LF or LF-only mode, use this and substitute the appropriate commands for font selection, duplexing, landscape/portriate, etc. Ted Mittelstaedt tedm@toybox.placo.com Author of: The FreeBSD Corporate Networker's Guide Book website: http://www.freebsd-corp-net-guide.com >-----Original Message----- >From: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG >[mailto:owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG]On Behalf Of Philip J. >Koenig >Sent: Sunday, June 17, 2001 5:35 AM >To: Ted Mittelstaedt >Cc: questions@FreeBSD.ORG >Subject: RE: Better printing from the command-line > > >On 17 Jun 2001, at 2:45, Ted Mittelstaedt boldly uttered: > > >> Read this to see how to "write my own scripts just to send >> commands to the printer.." it's easier than you think: >> >> >http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859->1/books/corp-net-guide/index.html > > >Looks like a nice writeup, thanks for the link!
