Gentlemen, I am attempting to use the tree to load the port unrar. When it failed, I downloaded the port and tried to make it manually. The website (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/ports.cgi?query=unrar&stype=all) is showing the latest release of this software to be unrar-3.70,4 <http://cvsweb.FreeBSD.org/ports/archivers/unrar>. However, the internals of the make file seem to be pointing to fileunrarsrc-3.7.6.tar.gz. The following were my two load attempts: ---------------------------------------------------- root@point1:/usr/src/unrar>pkg_add -r unrar Error: FTP Unable to get ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-4.9-release/Latest/unrar.tgz: File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access) pkg_add: unable to fetch 'ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/i386/packages-4.9-release/Latest/unrar.tgz' by URL ---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- root@point1:/usr/src/unrar>make ===> Vulnerability check disabled >> unrarsrc-3.7.6.tar.gz doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/. >> Attempting to fetch from RAR. fetch: RARunrarsrc-3.7.6.tar.gz: No such file or directory >> Attempting to fetch from ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/. fetch: ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles/unrarsrc-3.7.6.tar.gz: File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access) >> Couldn't fetch it - please try to retrieve this >> port manually into /usr/ports/distfiles/ and try again. *** Error code 1 ---------------------------------------------------- I was just hoping you could help me out on this. I need to unpack some rar files, but this is obviously setting me back. Regards, -- Jason Harper Point and Click Appliance Repair http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/ Toll Free 1-877-922-2880
