After I get this error, I have no choice but to reboot and try againg. Any information that anyone can provide would be of great help. You cannot use this ATA controller with FreeBSD 4.0 and above. Support for old, broken IDE controllers was removed. It will probably work with previous versions of FreeBSD. I too used to have a Pentium in the office with the same issue.
