The notion of a common cause can be a positive unifying factor.
The important thing is for the cause to be a positive one. The
FSF's rallying cry is the extinction not only of Microsoft but
of all commercial software vendors; this makes it more like a
jihaad than a good fight. IMHO, it would actually help the BSD
community if it could rally around a more positive cause.
