My experience so far has been mainly with Darren Reed's IP Filter. I have found it to be excellent (except for a few minor stability issues). Can anyone give me some TECHNICAL advise as to why I should IPFW over IPF or visa versa. Is IPFW a "stateful" firewall (ie does it track each estavlished connectection in a state table). Can I monitor this state table as I can with IPF's ipfstat? I have scoured the web for answers but have found very little. If someone could answer these questions or point me in the right direction I would be very appreciative......
