I sent my laptop off to HP to fix a broken backspace key and broken cooling fan. When it was returned to me, I started experiencing hard lockups and spontaneous cold shutdowns. After half a dozen of these experiences, I tried booting to the OEM OS, Windows ME, which experienced the exact same problems. I do apologize for this fairly off-topic post, but I'm desperate. I'm of the opinion this beast is on its way to DOA, and I'm trying to get HP to replace it. In the meanwhile, however, I'm experiencing continuing hard-shutdowns. It's quite frustrating. -Eric To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
