In principle the system does not recognize my CD so I decided to copy some of the directories in my hard disk as it is explained in the installation manual and I made a bootable floppy. Then I started the installation with the floppy and I decided to make a novice installation. I made a partition of my hard disk and all the procedures that are specified in the installation. I also especified the size of my hard disk (in my case is a Quantum Sirocco 1700, with specification 3309/16/63, it has 1700Mb). Once I followed all the intallation procedures, I re-started my PC, and I got as specified F1 Dos F2 BSD. When I press F2 I just get the same and the same and the same. I read the Hardware.txt and there it is specified as an standard error when the hard disk is not specified correctly. Then I ran the installation again, taking care that the definition of the hard disk was correct, but I got the same. I was reading the FAQ, and it is mentioned that this is symptom that my BIOS geometry and FreeBSD geometry settings do not agree. If this is the problem how do I solve it. Thanks in advance Juan Once I made -- ____________________________________________________________________ Juan Savioli International Research Centre for Computational Hydrodynamics (ICCH) Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI) Agern Alle 5 Tel:+45 45 76 95 55 DK 2970 Horsholm Fax:+45 42 86 00 68 Denmark Email: jcs@dhi.dk ____________________________________________________________________
