Griffiths" To: FreeBSD Questions List Subject: ISSUE Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG I am currently running FreeBSD 3.4 and 4.0 machines and I notice that when I setup the following line under /etc/gettytab on 3.4 machines I get my /etc/issue file displayed whether I login through console or telnet. default:\ :cb:ce:ck:lc:fd#1000:im=\r\n%s/%m(%h) (%t)\r\n\r\n:if=/etc/issue: sp#1200: On my 4.0 machines I only get my issue displayed when I login through the console. Does any one know the reason for this difference in behavior between 3.4 and 4.0 and how I can get my 4.0 machines to display my /etc/issue file when I telnet in?? Thanks Chris --- Christopher T.
