I didn't have an /etc/periodic.conf file, so I created one, and added the lines suggested in the periodic man page. So, now I have: daily_output=/var/log/daily.log weekly_output=/var/log/weekly.log monthly_output=/var/log/monthly.log daily_show_success=NO daily_show_info=NO daily_show_badconfig=NO daily_clean_tmps_enable="YES" Oliver
