(no docs ;) the ASIC is an SMC UltraChip 83C790QF P B9403 6M72492-8 it is jumpered to irq 10, ioaddr 0x300, memaddr 0xCC000. i have tried to use it to install 2.1.0-951104-SNAP with no success. boot to the boot.flp with the "-cv' flags use 'visual' to config ed0 to match settings listed above (visual is GREAT, jordan. good work!) partition the disk: 100% FreeBSD label the disk select ftp site: "freefall.freebsd.org" select distributions: "kern-developer" select media: ftp, set up the ip address, netmask, gateway, etc. commit. and it FAILS to resolve freefall.freebsd.org. i have installed a 3c509 for now. presently installing the 951104-SNAP. How can i get this card working? is it one of those plug-n-pray botches? jmb Jonathan M. Bresler jmb@kryten.atinc.com | Analysis & Technology, Inc.
