Everytime people ask me about vi, I show them this neat little trick and they're amazed. http://lists.intuit.com/~corby/vi/solve_maze.html The real answer without the show though, is that vi is the only editor that allows my fingers to stay on the home keys most of the time (other than having to hit escape).
