Maybe you might consider relocating all of /usr pr even bits of it to
/zusr?  Say /usr/src -> /zusr/src then rm src from under /usr and 'ln -s
/zusr/src /usr/src' could do the same thing with say /usr/home. Take
your time and 'man hier' to get a good understanding of what's
required...
