It sounds like DNS/ARP isn't resolving properly, maybe or the DNS server you use is currently not working. Also, for sshd, do you have the UseDNS option enabled? It seemed to affect client side stuff (ie client connecting to a server with UseDNS enabled), but maybe it's affecting your server =\... -Garrett
