This is to prevent people who want to harrass you from signing you up for every list they can find. When the email comes back, it with have an auth code and your info. Just cut it out and send it back. Beware, there are things you could do that will prevent it from working. They describe some of this in the email sent to you. You might want to peruse your old mail and see if there was a confirmation email that you never sent back...
