I'm having trouble getting the RealPlayer port to work on my Sony Vaio and I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem. I'm running FreeBSD 4.1-STABLE on a Vaio Z505HE. I cvsuped the audio ports before installing. Sound under other programs such as XMMS is working fine, and the video portion of whatever I play using the RealPlayer works great, but audio comes out as a really intense hissing/scratching noise at the max volume. (Scared the hell out of me the first time I tried it!) I tried changing various options in the player such as disabling the custom sampling and such but nothing has helped. The Welcome sound and any other audio I try to play through it comes out as hissing static. Any help is much appreciated.
