I am using 13.0 and I have built my stuff from ports.  I am experiencing th=

issue as well. bhyvectl --destroy --vm VMNAME still fixes the problem by
removing the file under /dev/vmm.

It happened with a FreeBSD13 guest and a pfSense (also bsd) guest.  I do not
recall experiencing this with I used Debian as a guest.
