I'm having a problem getting ipfirewall to log via syslogd. I compiled the kernel with the three following options: options IPFIREWALL options IPFIREWALL_VERBOSE options IPFIREWALL_VERBOSE_LIMIT=10 I have a firewall rule that looks like this: deny tcp log from any to any setup Which deny's all the TCP connections not explicitly allowed. I hoped to be able to see if anyone is "rattling the doorknobs", but nothing gets logged to either /var/log/messages or /var/log/security if I try and connect to a blocked port. Does anyone have any ideas why "log" isn't getting logged via syslog?
