When I still worked for IBM, we had a home office connection 'powered'
by AT&t.
I can not recall having such a lousy service time: at least twice a week
for at least 2 to 4 hours per outage !!  AT&T network service does not
appeal very much to me, so I think that if they also provide the @home
e-mail stuff it does not come as a surprise to me it has lots of
problems.
