You're referring to this line?

python3=3D3.4

My situation is different in that I'm aiming, perhaps misguidedly, for

    DEFAULT_VERSIONS=3Dpython=3D2.7
    PYTHON_VERSION=3Dpython3.4

which is why it works for you and fails for me.
