I've got a strange problem on two of my FreeBSD machines (4.1R and 4.2-STABLE 20001207). Whenever I try to su to root it (su) just hangs and does not execute the login. Also when supplying the wrong password after emitting the message it will just hang and I have to kill it with ^C. Su'ing to another normal user works. Also su'ing to root works when logged in via telnet. On -current all this works fine.
