After searching the web, the closes I could come was this URL: http://www.mail-archive.com/freebsd-net%40freebsd.org/msg11553.html Different motherboard series (the thread refers to AMD CPu boards), but sam= e=20 NIC issue and driver. I'm currently running FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE with a current src+ports pull a= s=20 of yesterday evening. I don't get the watchdog timeout errors, it just stops responding which for= ces=20 a reboot since it never comes back. The timing of the NIC death is=20 intermittent and follows no set pattern. Loads don't do it, nor light=20 traffic. At the time of this writing, I was actually using vi to edit a=20 remote kernel config file with only IPv6 IRC going. Other times it's been a= =20 local ftp or inter-machine scp, and still others, just a simple mail check. Anyone working on this issue or aware of a solution? =2D --=20 David D.W.
