No problem with pkg_version, we just need to figure out what's the syntax and what the fields mean. If we know that the version is always prefixed by a "-", and that revision and epoch are always prefixed by different separators (as in the example above), that makes things a little easier for pkg_version to parse. I was just rereading the code, and I found a few minor buglets that need to be fixed, but that's kind of independent.
