 Tried it with setting the following links
 
 # cd /usr/local/lib
 # ln -s gcc44/libgfortran.a
 # ln -s gcc44/libgfortran.so
 # ln -s gcc44/libgfortran.so.3=20
 #
 
 Port builds and installs now. I would not like to call it patch or even
 work around. This indicates in my opinion missing entry in search path for=
 =20
 libraries in the build environment.
