Hi and good day to all,
I have few questions here which I think most of the users had in mind
but unsure how to start with. Maybe it's already being thought and
discussed but anyways here goes:
1) How do we start setting up LAN at home? What are the requirement
needed? Example: To connect 2 PCs running FreeBSD 2.2.8 (1
acting as server & the other as w/station) via 56k dial-up modem?
I'd read it in PPP-Pendantic but the senario is a bit different...
2) How do we configure KDE? I had installed it via /stand/sysinstall
but I could not find in in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11.. Instead it is in
/usr/ports.. Any site which shows exactly how to do this?
3) How do we set-up a firewall over our office intranet? E.g: I'd like
to bar a vendor from accessing our private homepages (he's working
at our place temporarily) but at the same time he can surf the
internet? Tricky huh?
Help and advise are appreciated.
TQ
